I’m thinking of donating a working car to a charity for actual usage (not to be sold at auction). In which case i would be able to claim the actual fair market value of the car on my taxes, which is $2500. How much would that actually save me? and yes, i looked it up, if the charity is actually USING the car and not selling it for a profit, i can deduct the fair market value.
i know i need to furnish info such as my income and tax bracket, etc. but i was hoping maybe someone who has donted a car could tell me if it saved them very much or was worth it. i just don’t know what to do with this car anymore! no one wants it and it’s costing me $150 a month in insurance to keep it. and that’s minimum coverage! i live in Baltimore!
and yes, i do itemize my deductions.

How much would deducting $2500 on your taxes save?
How much do I save each week to pay my taxes?
My new job pays minimum wage and does not take out taxes. We claim them at the end of the year and pay them then. I am working for a non-profit place that helps people donate cars to charity. How much should I be saving from each paycheck to ensure that I will have enough money to pay my taxes at the end of the year? My boss told me the girls all save about 15 dollars a week, but that doesn’t seem like enough – considering at my current job they deduct about $100.

how much should i donate for a car seat check?
I am having my infant car seat inspected at a local police station. They accept donations, and the proceeds go to funding the program and purchasing car seats for those who cannot afford them. I would like to make a donation, but do not have much to give. What is a reasonable donation???
Why does Goodwill charge so much for donated cars?
I reallize that Goodwill must make a profit, but so much?? I live on $700 a month and need a car. I thought I would shop Goodwill cause thats where I usually go for things. I was shocked at the prices.

I you some how acquired over a Billion dollars; how much of it would you donate to a charity?
Being honest, I would donate probably over 1/3’s of it because i don’t want a life style of women and cars and “bling bling.” I value respect more then money so I would probably move my family out of our apartment and into a house and get myself a decent car and save what ever is left for college and rainy days.
How much commission should I give to someone who solicits people to donate cars to my charity?
I was thinking about giving 10% but they may be too low?
How much of your own money are you willing to spend to cover your portion of the cost of the Iraq war?
This is a question asked out of General and sincere curiousity. I am constantly stunned to see war supporters say that we should stay in Iraq no matter how long it takes. By early next year, we could well be into the 800 billion dollar ballpark. However, this war is being paid for with debt/credit and there are tens of thousands of injured soldiers needing longterm care that will ad to this cost. If we stay till next year…the total could be over a trillion. If we stay for ten years more, that cost could be 3 trillion. This works out to around 50k-150k for the average family. Are there really any people willing to donate 150K of their own money for this war? And if so….are you willing to give up your car, house, bank account to pay for it if that is “however long it takes?”

Pastor Beaten And Tased By Arizona Border Patrol
A man who grew up in Sacramento is now sharing a traumatic story on the internet. He is a pastor who says he was beaten for exercising his constitutional rights.
“I’m crying out for mercy, they are torturing me with tasers again and again,” says Pastor Steven Anderson.
Pastor Steven Anderson claims he was tortured during a common border patrol stop in Arizona.
The father of four says he exercised his consecution right not to be searched without a warrant. He says that’s when he claims agents broke out his passenger and driver side windows.
“Both windows shattered in the same instant,” says Anderson.
“I felt like his full body weight was just driving my face into more broken glass and asphalt,” Anderson explains.
It took 11 stitches to close the cuts on the pastor’s face.

In the report, right-wing extremism was defined as hate-motivated groups and movements, such as hatred of certain religions, racial or ethnic groups. “It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration,”

How much do you pay a pastor or donate to the church when he/she performs a private memorial service?
My mother recently passed away. She was on hospice, so she was able to communicate some of her wishes beforehand. One of her wishes was for a memorial service, but she stated that she did not want the memorial service at church, which was a surprise to us. She said that it was important for her to have her beliefs expressed during the memorial though. Her pastor offered to help me with the memorial service, and I know some type of donation is customary, but I’m not sure how much I should budget for. Any guidance would be helpful.
The memorial will be at an gazebo in an outdoor garden near the Sacramento area, in case you had questions with geography and local custom.
Thank you.
