I am looking to donate to a chairity that takes underprivlidged children out to a store and gives them money ($20 ?) and helps them pick out gifts for their familys. then they would gift wrap the presents and Santa would visit and give the kids a wrapped gift to put under the tree for themselves. Our local (Sacramento area) Kmart used to do this years ago.
Does anybody know of a group doing this?
How can I help other kids beside donations?

I really want to help orphen and abused kids. I am not financialy strong so I can’t give donations. I have two kids of my own. I am looking for a place where I can spend time with those kids who need love and affection. Can you people please tell me where to look and how to find a place like this. I am living in a very small town which is very close to Sacramento, California.
