I have a 1984 Lincoln Town Car that hasn’t been running for years. The body is good and the interior is somewhat luxury and undamaged. I tried to donate it but charities don’t want it because it was always something of a lemon mechanically and is too hard to fix.
Do junkyards ever pay for non-running cars in order to have parts? Or do they ever tow a car at no charge in order to have the parts?

I had some one tell me there was a program in my city that if you had a job offer they would give single moms a free car and pay so much to the first insurance bill. He told me to look it up but I couldn’t find it online. What I did find was a lot of sites saying they take donated cars and give them to single moms, struggling families, disabled, etc. What I could not find on any of their websites was how to get one of these cars. I am a single mom of a 2 year old. I am having problems finding a job since I can only go where the bus takes me or is within walking distance. When I heard about this it gave me hope but I have no clue where to look. If anyone knows anything like this please let me know.
There are website such as goodwill, american redcross, 1-800 charity cars, Why can you help me solve an solution to an puzzle, i am not a bad parent, I could take care my children and I do have a job. But it do not pay well for me to afford a car, That why i ask such a question, i take it serouisly, if you going to help,help me otherwords, if not then do not answer a question you can not answer yourself? I know there are a lot of people in my situation. I am a single mother of 2 and I work my butt off. . . and lean on my fater up above for everything. Even if I could afford a brand new car. . . that isn’t what I am looking for. . I just want a car that isn’t going to give me problems every few weeks. I live by myself and my mother passed away. . .my dad is here, but he doesnt live near me and cant drive me back and forth if yet another car of mine breaks down. . . Well let me go ahead and ask my question LOL Does anyone know of any programs “real” programs that help single mothers with a vehicle?

I was in an accident today, slid on the snow and went into a spin, hit a telephone pole. I’m fine and didn’t hit anyone which is great but my car is eventually going to give out. I’m recently divorced with a set of 11 year old twins and and a 5yr and my ex-husband took our only vehicle. I just started working for about 2 weeks now and only have about $200 to my name.
