I have a 1984 Lincoln Town Car that hasn’t been running for years. The body is good and the interior is somewhat luxury and undamaged. I tried to donate it but charities don’t want it because it was always something of a lemon mechanically and is too hard to fix.
Do junkyards ever pay for non-running cars in order to have parts? Or do they ever tow a car at no charge in order to have the parts?
I KNOW A FAMILY THAT IS IN NEED OF A CAR SO THEY CAN GET TO WORK SO THEY DON’T LOOSE EVERYTHING THEY HAVE AND HAVE TO LIVE IN THE STREETS.

When I went to school, automotive departments in colleges would take in outside owned vehicles that needed repair so that the students could get hands on experience with actual repairs. The terms were variable, like as long as it takes. The owner pays for the parts and if they can afford it, makes a donation to the department. This worked out good for people that cannot afford to get the work done. The work is overseen by the teacher so it usually comes out fine even though there is a disclaimer.
Do they still do this at colleges that teach automotive repair? How would I find such a thing?
im in a huge mess right now and needing some help. clunker of a car broke reparing it woudnt help, b/c it is soo soo old that the parts for it are more than the car is worth.. seriously.. trying to find another job, amongst trying to find a way to get my son to preschool, and rent past due, i need help ASAP.. does anyone know of a place that helps low income familys in getting a car..i live in ohio. alot of things are happening all at once, but i need reliable transportation. bus line isnt gonna help and of course spending money on a taxi everywere i have to go will be pricey.. in need now.. anyone out there know of a website or agency that can help me. pleae and thankyou
There are website such as goodwill, american redcross, 1-800 charity cars, Why can you help me solve an solution to an puzzle, i am not a bad parent, I could take care my children and I do have a job. But it do not pay well for me to afford a car, That why i ask such a question, i take it serouisly, if you going to help,help me otherwords, if not then do not answer a question you can not answer yourself?
