Limo service to SMF airport?

My husband and I moved out to California back in July. We literally live in the middle of no where. 2 Hours north of Sacramento. We are going home for Easter (Chicago) and are looking for a limo service that would pick us up and take us to the airport. Since this town is so small it seems that we can’t find anyone to take us. I did call one Limo service and he wanted $200.00!!!! I was shocked w/ this price. Does anyone know of a Limo/Shuttle service near by and cheaper? We are in Lake County. Our car is older and we are not sure if it would make it to the airport so, we don’t want to chance it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :-)

    $200 is not unreasonable for a two hour limo ride. A taxi from the airport just to downtown costs about $40, and that’s a 20 minute ride.

    Have you considered paying a local person to drive you? I live about 50 miles from the Sacramento airport, and we usually drive and park, but I know that there are some young persons (not too young to be good drivers) in my community who would drive me if I needed the help. You might ask around for someone who needs the money and might charge slightly less than the limo and taxi services.

    the airport that could be another idea
