I want to give my car to charity. I was told that I could write it off and receive a reasonable value. Can anyone tell me exactly how this works???

probably the bluebook value of the car, but check withan accountant, they’d know.

You call up the charity and make an appt for whatever day for them to pick up the car. You take your pesonal stuff out and the tags off it. They give you some tax paper to hold onto and then a few weeks later they send a postcard telling how much they auctioned it for. Then you can take that amount off your taxes. Just save th papers.
